Meet the Directors
Learn about the co-founders behind Trade Collective Queensland. We deliver hands-on, director-led tiling expertise for Brisbane's most premium architectural developments.
Don
Managing Director / Senior Estimator
Don guides the business operations and technical estimations for Trade Collective Queensland. Armed with over a decade of high-end trade project management experience, he handles the intake of scale architectural plans, structural layout mathematics, and works alongside builders' engineering teams to design correct sand-cement screeds, stress-isolation membranes, and AS 3740 waterproofing parameters before a single tile is laid.
Tom
Operations Director / Master Stonemason
Tom is our master mason and on-site operations director. With a lifetime dedicated to architectural stonemasonry and high-performance wet-area preparation, Tom leads the on-site craftsmen. He specializes in handling and cutting massive 6mm porcelain sheets, carving pristine hand-ground 45-degree mitre corners (birdsmouth joints), and certifies our dual-layer poly-urethane waterproofing barriers for Form 16 sign-offs.
Director-Led On-Site Supervision.
In modern construction, commercial tiling is often sublet through multiple sub-contracting loops, leading to communication drops and waterproofing failures. Here is how we guarantee absolute quality.
Zero Quality Dilution
We accept only a limited quantity of high-end architectural contracts annually. This ensures Don and Tom are on-site daily, personally evaluating substrates and laying finishes.
Scale Layout Vetting
Don manually reviews scale drawings to optimize layout math before tiles are ordered. This avoids awkward thin-tile sliver cuts and aligns grout lines symmetrically.
Form 16 Accountability
Tom personally certifies all structural wet-area membranes. By conducting dual-layer audits, Trade Collective Queensland issues flawless, leak-free waterproofing sign-offs.
